The Conqueror's Pavilion723 viewsHouses the Imperial Treasury. Built around 1460, in the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror. Among other items, this building contains the Topkapi Dagger, the object of the heist depicted in the 1964 movie Topkapi, one of my favorite films.

Rather at odds with the rest of the display is the cheap-looking faux-marble Ionic column in the center, which appears to be an unfinished, ill-conceived and poorly integrated addition to the room.
