M59 is the eilliptical galaxy in the center of the frame; above it is the elliptical galaxy M60 with nearby spiral galaxy NGC 4647. Numerous other galaxies are also in the picture, including spirals NGC4606 and NGC4607 in the bottom left quadrant.
